This little nifty contraption works swimmingly! Before I got this, I was just hooking my camera up to my computer. Taking that route to load pictures: took forever, drained my camera battery and was not the best idea since we have power issues at our house.

I HIGHLY recommend this product! When I first attempted to put my disk in one of the slots for the first time, I didn't think my card was gonna fit. But with a little push it slid in with no problem ("That's what she said").

Handles Every Format I've Thrown At It!
I bought this product as a way to unify all of the various memory cards that have cluttered up my house. I use this one my Dell laptop with the following card formats: CompactFlash, MicroSD, SD, and Memory Stick Pro Duo for my PSP. The transfer speeds are great, and this product has handled every single type of card that I've tried with it. Highly recommended!

perfect for laptop use
Worked well for assorted camera memory cards at our family reunion. Short cord was perfect for use with my laptop, and it comes with a longer cord for desktop PCs. Transfers were quick and easy.

Works exactly as promised
I bought a computer with a media reader. Even with a Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM, the computer hiccuped and froze up whenever I wanted it to read my camera's SD card. Now that I have the Kingston card reader, what a change! It's easy to install. You basically just plug it into your USB port and it automatically installs its software and drivers. It also has a short USB cord and an extender cord, which is nice. Considering the USB port is usually on the back of the tower (where it's dusty and annoying to fiddle with), it's nice to be able to switch out whatever's plugged into my USB without having to access the tower.

The reader easily accesses the SD card and everything on the card pops up immediately. Transfer to and from the card and the PC is very quick. I'm very happy with this purchase and think it's a great deal. Very well priced, and you don't have to burn through the camera's battery just to upload pics.

Glitch but, good tech support.
No wait for tech support, unheard of these days. Does have a glitch, but I do not know if it is the drive or the reader.

Don't buy. Doesn't work.
This product only works every once in a while. The ink cartridges don't install correctly. You can press them in and they will light up as if connected, but they don't stay there. I was only able to print 1/4 or 1/5 times. They must be defective ones. Sometimes they would print twice in a row, but without me touching them they stopped. I would have to go to my wireless printer, open it and wait for the cartridges to come to the center and I would see only this one cartridge's light no longer lit (the four others colors were lit). I would have to press it in again, it wouldn't always feel like it would stay, but regardless it never stayed for long.) Then I would have to wait for the printer to go through a reset cycle and it would either work or not. This all takes a lot of time and is very unreliable. Either they aren't quite the right size or the chips are defective, but they are suppose to be real cannon cartridges. What a waste of money and time. All three are like this. I had to finally go out and buy new ones from the store. They cost a bit more, but they actually work.

Canon ink is the only way to go
After having an OEM leaking ink tank ruin my printer and voiding the warranty, I swore I would only use Canon ink. The reliability from a trusted name means a lot. Also, you won't be disappointed with the ink colors and the ease of installation. It pops right into the cartridge holder with easy color identifiable slots. Yes, the ink tanks tanks are more expensive, but they're worth it.

Good Deal - Canon PGI-220 Triple Pack
I have a Canon MX860 printer/copier/scanner. It is a great machine. It prints fast and beautifully. But, it is very generous in its use of ink. The Canon black combo pack is one way I can control my costs and avoid buying remanufactured cartridges or brand "X" ink.

Have used 5-6 of these triple packs since last September and have had no problems. I had so many problems with my previous Canon printer because I began using "other" Canon "compatable" ink tanks. Yea, there were cheaper. They did not last as long and the colors went crazy.

Yes, it's printer ink, but it's better than most
At the very least, be glad they separate the black cartridges out, considering it's gone the quickest. I remember in the olden days when all you had was one ink cartridge, and no matter what if one color ran out you were SOL.

These cartridges are moderately priced in the 3-pack, and you do get a decent number of copies from them. Even after the computer tells me the ink is out, I tend to "continue printing" anyway, as I noticed that it's similar to a car saying "fuel empty," you're not all the way gone, but you're pretty close.

You can't beat OEM either, the generics don't hold up as well, and for some reason they get a little messy. Overall, this is a pretty good buy, considering it's the most frequently replaced.

i bought this for my new canon printer, for some reason canon decided not to include a cable for it, perhaps because it's a wireless, anyhow this cable is made by belkin who I've come to trust to make good quality cables and offer them at reasonable prices, it works, its long, good quality, what more can i ask for in a cable, oh yeah its affordable too, just over , if you need a printer cable or this type of usb cable for anything else, pick this one up.

Belkin 10-foot USB printer cable
Very happy with it, and data transfer to my printer is fast on my older computer. Belkin makes a good product; I have had a Belkin 4-slot flash card reader for some time and love it. The price was almost too good to be true but it's great, most places wanted a lot more up to for a 10" USB cable. The first one I bought had the wrong kind of connector ends (another vendor). My bad, didn't do my homework well enough. Delivery was fast. I'd like another one for my other computer so I don't have to pull it out of the back of the tower but just the printer slot to switch and print from my other computer (my two are networked to get on the internet thru a router but won't "talk" to each other). But for many print jobs, I can easily find a way around that for now.

I had this printer cable for a HP 4880 All-In-One and it had been working for 2 years without any problem. I just sold my old printer with the cable and got a new one for my new Canon MP560, still works like a charm.

Many Windows based notebooks are now equipped with VGA & HDMI ports, but no DVI port. Many external monitors are equipped with VGA & DVI ports, but no HDMI port. While the analog VGA connection works, a digital connection works better. As it happens DVI is simply a subset of the HDMI standard.

A very good High End Dual Band Router!
Okay, i just bought a new laptop (HP Dm4t) and had wireless internet before. Through extensive research on the web i finally found this powerful router. This is the most feature rich router ive seen in a while, a little pricey but its worth it in the end due to the longevity of its life span and its ease of use and speed consistency over several devices connected at once.

The WNDR3700 lives up to its name! it increased my range throughout my whole house 2500 sq feet, and theirs no speed difference whether im upstairs or downstairs. Its fast, easy to install, reliable and one of the best 150 dollars i spent on a networking device. A plus to this already great device is the 5ghz wireless a connection which is less congested and sometimes gives a faster speed than the over crowded 2.4 ghz But make sure your wireless internet adapter/card supports it! it should say wireless a when you look at your wireless card through device manager. If it does not than you have no use for the dual band capabilities in this router but nevertheless, its 2.4 ghz gave me a promised 180 mbps wireless and 300 wired. But considering that i have a ps3, an xbox 360 an ipod touch and a laptop connected at once this router still maintains its speed.

Th only bad thing i found was the limited capabilities with the guest network but that was fixed with a firmware upgrade. I also suggest that you keep the router elevated on a shelf (downstairs if two story) and keep it standing rather than laying it flat due to heat issues and better range. I also should say the first thing you should do is update the routers firmware from one of the icons the install wizard makes for you.

All in all this is by far the best router i have used and its speed is fast, range is excellent and is perfect for connecting more than 1 device. The dual band is a plus, it will help if you live in crowded areas but you might notice a speed decrease or increase using 5 ghz and a range decrease. This is one of the best items i bought off of amazon and i highly recommend it for a people who aren't familiar with networking due the the ease of installation. A great buy indeed.

The best router I have ever owned.
Finding the right router is difficult, especially for those of us who do not have a thorough knowledge of wireless networking or an abundance of time. For every router there seem to be an equal number of positive and negative reviews. All I can say about this router is that it works flawlessly for me, and it is well worth the money.

The way to go.
setup was so easy, I did think it was going to work. I conncect out Wii, our DVR, two laptops and two cellphones withn an hour. So far everything is working great. Lastly, this one doubled our range to anywhere not only in the house, but the entire backyard.

The Best Router I have used!
With the Dual band 5GHz capability, this works great in highly congested areas (like apartments and town home communities) where there are a lot of home networks. Without the added dual band options, you are fighting with your neighbor's networks for channels and getting knocked off line continually.

Awesome router for gaming on multi consoles!!
I run on Window XP and I bought this NetGear router to use with my Motorola SB6120 SURFboard. It was very easy to install/setup and I notice the different in my internet speed right away! Before NetGear, I was using some older model D-Link and always lag in video games. Now I can play Xbox online on multi consoles (at the same time), never lag and constantly get host! I can even download a few movies at a time and play online game without bad connection! Extremely happy with this item!!

PS: I use Comcast internet 24Mbps before the purchase and notice the internet speed different after the NetGear router without changing my service.

Value for money, nothing fancy
I was very confused about getting a good router, considered many options ranging from Linksys to Netgear to Belkin (I previously had a Belkin, it was an epic fail). I found out about Trendnet, it was way cheaper and served my purpose of a normal day-to-day router. It doesn't really have as many functions as a high-end consumer router, but it is well-suited for home usage. If you are running a small business from home, for example, you do not want to get this. My experience with cheap products in the past has almost entirely been bad, but this one has yet to disappoint me. I would predict the longevity of this router to be about a year. All in all, it's good value for the money. Especially if you're just interested in setting up a basic home network with up to 4 devices connected at a time.

netgear wired router

died after 1 year, crap, avoid this router.
I got this at Best Buy I think I paid over .00, but thought since my last router lasted over 7 years that although I thought it should be cheaper it would not be so bad a buy. Boy was I wrong. A little over a year later, it just died one day. I called Netgear customer service and they confirmed yes it's dead and sometimes that happens. Pretty much Sorry, see you later. It really is a piece of crap. Stay away from this router.

Netgear RP614 router for Mac use
I have a Mac; while it is correct that the Netgear RP614 comes only with PC-based documentation, it will work just with a Mac if you know how to set everything up (or, in my case, know somebody who knows and is willing to help). One bit of advice, though: if you are using this router with a Mac, do NOT try running the Setup Wizard; it get confused and will mess up your settings. In my case, Setup Wizard went into an endless loop attempt and I had to exit the built-in router page. Then none of my previously working web sites would load; turns out that the confused Setup Wizard ended up turning on all of the day/time access block controls. Once I figured this out it was easy enough to turn them all off, but a weird effect.

So far the router's working okay (it has been in use for about a week). Hard to believe that these Amazon.com ratings are for the same device; they seem to be mostly either five stars or one star. I'll go with two stars, mainly because of the unsatisfactory treatment I got from Netgear when I tried to register my purchase. No follow-up e-mail with a log-in password ever showed up, and the log-in e-mail was not in my spam folder, either. When I tried to re-register the Netgear site wouldn't let me use my home e-mail, saying it was taken. When I tried to register using my work e-mail, it wouldn't let me complete the process saying that the serial number I provided was already taken. So I never was able to log into my Netgear registration account, to confirm my data. Trying to call Netgear was an exercise in frustration, and yes, it's true that they won't talk to you if you won't first provide a credit card number for them to charge. So I would give Netgear an "F" for its customer service. But so far the RP614 appears to be doing what a router should, even though I have a Mac.

A very good product
This is an excellent product, easy to setup and at a very good price. I originally bought it for its security features: NAT plus SPI. About as good as you can get at keeping malware out short of never connecting to the internet. Since buying it, I've added another computer. Just plug one end of the cable into the router's port 2 and the other end into the computer's ethernet port and you are running. The initial setup apparently configures all four ports. It isn't wireless so your other computer(s) need to be close but the 15 foot cable works fine.

NETGEAR and service
I have shopped many different on line organizations, auctions and such but have never encountered the level of service and quality that I have experienced not only with Amazon but also their sub-vendor as well. If amazon has it or can get it. I will definitely get it from AMAZON!!!

Absolutely the best 54Mbps wireless router
I have owned 2 Linksys wireless routers before this one. Both failed with same issue, intermittent internet connection loss. I have configured every router for all members of my family, my wife's family, extended family, neighbors, friends, etc. I have to say the easiest brand to configure is the NetGear. It has all the features the other brands have, but the web based configuration makes it better. There is also the fact that it works without failing.

I own other NetGear equipment and I have had no issues with the quality of any of the devices. This router looks great and it stacks right on top of my NetGear 1Gb 8 port switch. I have another computer in the basement also connected to another NetGear 1Gb 8 port switch with a NetGear NV+ NAS. All have great prices, look great, and work great.

Great Price and Easy To Install
I had to unfortunately replace my old Linksys Modem Router that was 3 years old, because my lovely cat decided to knock it off a shelf one less time, that and we have humidity issues in the house too. After finding out that there are practically no modem-router combinations, I had to get the modem and router separately, I bought the Actiontec GT701D and of course the product we're talking about the Netgear WGR614. I find it to be a very good price and very easy to install. It took me literally 5 minutes to put the CD in and set up the router while I was hardwired. I find it's a lot easier to set up a modem or router when you're hardwired to a computer.

I love the speed. I have had no connectivity issues with the router or my dsl provider, which happens to be an independent provider. The only issues is a recurring issue with my security system and the phone line, which someday will be fixed, but I can't blame the router on my phone line issues. It's a good deal for the price for people that don't need a lot of speed and aren't covering that much of an area. I live in a small 8 room house and I have the equivalent of the lowest speed with AT&T.

I received a item that wasn't in the condition to be used. I believe it's best if you buy goods that come from a respectable company. As my finance' says stop being cheap, and go to the store where you get a warranty. Shopping on these sights are not reliable you may get the Shaft!!!

Poor Customer Service
I owned this unit for about 15 months and it worked fine. Last evening I opened my router log-in. The opening window does a search to see if new firmware is available. There was a update available. I downloaded the new firmware and tried to install it. The new firmware "bricked" my router and I couldn't get it fixed. I contacted their service group and they worked with me for 45 minutes to no avail. That isn't the problem. After trying everything they could think of the tech finally acknowledged that the unit was inoperable. Since it was too late in the day to reach customer service he gave me a case number and gave me the contact info to call during business hours to get a replacement. When I called to get said replacement Netgear disavowed any knowledge of the service call from the night before and could not locate my case number. I went through the whole scenario with the customer service tech and her boss to no avail. Even though it was their firmware update that trashed my unit they would not make good on it claiming it was out of warranty, which it was. I told them I wasn't calling for warranty service I wanted a replacement unit for the one their update made inoperable. They wouldn't budge. I finally left it that I would never buy another piece of equipment from Netgear and I would dissuade everyone I could from doing the same.

very good range!
I bought this router mainly because of its extended signal range feature. I have a 1850sf single story house plus a seperated 250 sf entertainment room 5 feet away from the house. The signal strength is excellent in every corner of the house and in the outside entertainment room as well. We also have a mobile home as a guest house 100 feet away from the main house and I was wishing the signal strong enough to reach the mobile home so the internet can be avaiable to our guest. Guess what? After the setup, I went over one of the room in the mobile home and my laptop can detect the signal! It is not strong but at least there is no problem to go on the internet. I am very happy with this router.

Great router
This is a great product. I've had mine for a couple of years or more, and it has performed well from the start. I wish the USB port worked as a print server instead of the patchwork printer sharing setup, but it's a router after all, not a print server.

Installation Was Soooo Easy
I had the prior version of this router for 2 years. I started having connection issues and based upon process of elimination it appeared to be the router. I decided to buy a new one rather than spending hours trying to confirm the router was dying. Installation of my old router had been difficult but since it always worked well until it apparently died I went for it. In less than 30 minutes the new router was installed and all computers and printer tied into the network - working perfectly. It was a cinch - loved the CD which made installation a breeze. Connectivity is great. Reception is very good. Got a new mini computer this weekend and it found the network easily. I am happy :)

For the price, excellent buy
On seeing that this product has been reduced in price, I figured I would post a review to help others looking for a new router.

I have had this now for over a year (Hardware A4 version, 1.21NA firmware) and with some small caveats, am very happy I bought it. No router is perfect, and this one is flawed in some respects, but at less than , it's a steal.

First the good. At my firmware level, I have had absolutely no issues with performance or reliability. Many router owners have to live with the occasional need for a hard reboot, but this one keeps on going. Reboots are required for many of the Advanced routing feature settings to be edited, but once you are set up, you stay up.

Initial set up was relatively straightforward even though I did not use the included setup disk. There are wizards in the web interface for both wired and wireless setup. I had a few attempts because I was using some bad DNS addresses at first, but this was user error. I used advanced DNS eventually which works well. Some users have reported issues with this with some 1.3xNA firmwares, but it works fine for me on 1.21NA and is easily disabled if you need to.

Wired performance is good with my setup. I have a Windows 7 desktop (and was using Windows XP before my upgrade with this also), a Mac OS X 10.5 MacBook Pro with a Windows Vista VM on it (I often use this on wireless also). I have a VOIP telephone using a LinkSys adapter and a PS3 console. All run with no issues. Connecting wirelessly, I have a Windows Vista Dell laptop, running on the extremely useful guest access feature. This allows you to give a different account which can have limited access (i.e. no LAN access) or a different security type if needed. Very useful for visitors.

Wireless range is great, and even wireless G gives good speeds. I have tested with wireless N and can connect at 150 MB/s. It is due to the limitation of the AirPort card of my MacBook Pro that I can't connect at the full 300 MB/s that wireless N supports, so I can't comment on this side of the router's performance. What I can say is that the N range I have is good and that others on the D-Link forums seem happy with this aspect of the router.

The web UI is good and well organized. The feature set is quite extensive for the price. You have virtual routing, which allows you to route an incoming port to one of your attached devices for a particular service. One example might be to route port 22 to port 22 on your desktop PC and allow ftp to run on that box. Used with dynamic DNS (which allows you to use a free service that constantly 'maps' your router's dynamic external address assigned by your ISP to a web URL of your choosing) you can set up an ftp web site for yourself, available anywhere on the internet at (for example) [...]. Not bad for .

I also use this to stream HD content from my desktop to my PS3. I now use wired and can stream 1080p content without a hiccup, but with wireless G, I was able to do 720p well. The use of gigabit LAN ports helps here I think, and this is another feature you won't find on similarly priced routers widely. Gigabit is only useful for devices requiring extra bandwidth, but it certainly helps with media streaming and file shares for example.

Finally, the automated QOS (Quality of Service) is just the best I have seen. I use lots of bandwidth-hog applications, and no matter how heavy the traffic, I can still browse the web or make a VOIP phone call comfortably. And this is with default settings. I could add rules for certain devices, but I have not yet had the need to.

There are one or two caveats. Those looking to this as a cheap NAS (Network Attached Storage) or print server solution will be disappointed to learn that this is only designed to give NAS/printer access to one user on the LAN at a time, and each user has to load a software client to use the device at all. Also, this feature is reported to have problems at the firmware level I run. I simply do not use it. I am not tempted to run higher levels of the firmware after reading instability reports on 1.3xNA firmware. Common complaints are having to reboot the router daily/weekly/monthly. Using 1.21NA, I only reboot when I change a setting or my internet goes down.

Please note that this is not a dual band router. It works on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth only. Dual band routers can assign wireless traffic to either band, making your total throughput better. I have no 'real world' experience of this, but do not use wireless that heavily, so it doesn't overly concern me. If you have lots of devices using 2.4 Ghz (wireless phones/mice/keyboards, bluetooth etc.) this may be a feature you would benefit from.

For anyone out there looking for a 'best bang for the buck' router, I would recommend this one. However, I would advise caution with firmware updates. If you want stability guaranteed, remain with 1.21NA and join the forum to keep an eye on the stability of the latest build. Note that once you update to 1.3xNA, any downgrade to 1.2x or lower is unsupported (though it is possible). Only do this to use the USB port or other advanced features designed to work better on those firmwares.

It seems that 1.34NA is performing well, so it may well be worth testing out if your device comes installed with 1.3xNA firmware already. If you need to upgrade, read the upgrade instructions thoroughly, backup your configuration (via the web GUI), reset the router to default settings, perform the upgrade then restore your configuration from the backup. This has been seen time and time again to avoid upgrade issues. In many cases, I recommend screen-capping your settings and changing them manually after the upgrade.

Slow delivery

Designed for comfort
I ordered this item at about 4pm and on the next day it arrived before 2pm... I'm not even sure I paid anything for shipping and handling. Assembly Manual of the product can be improved with clearer instructions and minimal assumptions that the user would know what is been described.

Excellent chair
Got it a month ago and so far so good. It was easy to assemble and is very adjustable, it's one of the best presents I have gotten my wife in a long time.

Excellent Value and Very Comfortable
Quite a bargain, we started with purchasing one of these chairs to check out the quality and durability for everyday use in the office. We always purchased the Aeron chairs at the hefty pricetag of > 0 a pop. These chairs are very, very comparable in my opinion. The users love them. They are fully adjustable and mesh seat and back. We have since re-ordered seven more for every person in the office and everybody loves them. Great morale booster, and we finally replaced the outdated office chairs. Simple to assemble the arms, and delivery was amazingly fast - 2 days they were on our docks! Would definitely recommend!!

Product care, shady. Customer service good
This product was delivered in a timely manner, however, one of the essential pieces arrived broken. The whole product was dirty, almost as if the company had made some last minute sanding decisions and left the wood shavings in the box. The essembly was so easy a cave man could do it. To Prepac's credit, their cumstomer service was easy and extremely efficient. I didn't have to wait to speak with a representative, and they replaced the extra broken piece quickly at no extra charge.

good basic no frills piece
this piece is fine, a bit heavier than we would have liked which is a bit concerning if you are planning to fill it with books once it's on the wall. one key part that it uses to hang on the wall arrived broken in half but my husband was able to salvage it. Again, this piece is fine but weight could be an issue depending on your walls. As with the coordinating desk, a cordless screw gun in a huge help for assembly as there are many pieces to join.

My biggest complaint with this desk was the god awful instructions. I have put together my share of furniture and this was by far the worse. It works good for small spaces, which is what i was wanting. Had to brace it up due to my printer shaking quite a bit. Not a bad desk , if you can get through the instructions.

Terrible Experience
After days of researching potential new desks(online and in-store), I took a gamble on this product based on the positive reviews. I was looking for something "modern" and "compact." Again, based on all the positive reviews I purchased this product. Here is my experience:

Delivery: A tracking number is assigned, which is good.
Package arrived 8 days from date of purchase. The shipping is a whopping when the desk itself was .

Assembling:
Upon opening the box, you find another box inside with the desk. It was well packed for a small box. Spreading out the material, you find all parts with a sticker label and two 1-sided instructions: Parts list and assembly instruction. Initial inspection was adequate - wood looked good, metal/plastic parts were very cheap.
Negative: 3 of the parts were labeled incorrectly. The stickers are also not consistent - you have two parallel parts but the stickers are on the top of one and the bottom of the other. Some screw holes required additional maintainence outside of the assembly.
-Quality: Lining all the parts, the pieces were all different shapes and sizes. Tools were bent. One crucial piece had the wrong holes rendering this desk COMPLETELY USELESS. It was the part the connects the main desk surface - holes were drilled on the top(correct) on one side and bottom(incorrect) of the other.

The Green Group, LLC: Customer service is non-existent. Because of the manufacturing defect, I wanted a replacement asap. Emailed 3 times and tried to find a website outside of amazon but to no avail. 9 business days later and no response. I almost had to file a claim, which I had to research on amazon. Never had to resort to this.

Outcome: 4.5 hours of total assembling and disassembling upon finding out defects. I went ahead and drilled the holes myself then was able to fully assemble the desk. All sides are not level. Desk is light and compact. The wheels make it convenient to move around. Overall I think the desk is below average and feels very cheap. I would recommend buying from an actual furniture store in the future so that you do have the same bad experience as me.

GREAT SMALL ,AREA COMP DESK
I NEEDED A SMALL COMP DESK, FOR MY SMALL 10 BY 15 FT. LIVING ROOM. WITH MY COUCH , LOVESEAT, AND TV UNIT . I REALLY NEEDED SOMETHING COMPACT. THIS TABLE IS JUST THE ONE TO GET . LOOKS GREAT!!! EVERYONE LOVES IT, so easy to put together. very reasonable priced to. it will match or,go with anything , and all ages will love it.

Nice surprise! Great quality for the price.
This desk looks just as pictured - it has a nice clean, uncluttered look and the quality is very good. I was surprised for the I spent it is very sturdy, and solid. Not a wobble! I like the smaller, more comfortable size, and the wheels make it easy to move. I have a 19 inch wide screen monitor that fits nicely. The desk arrived ahead of the scheduled time and in excellent condition. It was pretty easy to assemble. The company sent a few emails to ensure I was happy - nice touch. I'm very pleased!

My Opinion
I am pleased by my purchase of this product. It was easy, even for someone who is all thumbs, to put it together, especially if your wife is handy. It does what is says it does and I would recommend it.

cost effective and not hard to install
It takes my friend and me about two hours to set it up. Though the instruction is hard to follow, it is really easy to setup in principal, so long as you figure out how to combine horizontal and vertical boards together. To make it solid enough, we use extra nails to help fix up the rectangular connection. You might also have to take care while hammering the backboard with nails, because the backboard is very likely to lean backward instead of clinging to the board edges.

Good product, cheaper elsewhere
No matter how you feel about Walmart, if you're going to get this, you may as well get it cheaper. As of August 2010 it's still 25 bucks there.

Now on to the product itself. It's surprisingly strong and pretty nice looking. I think anybody with any sense should be a little wary of cheap particle board furniture, but it does its job. I have several heavy textbooks on the bottom and third shelves, and medium to small sized books and DVDs on the other shelves with no problems.

The directions could be a little clearer but there's really nothing wrong with them. At first you'll wonder why the hell you're doing something, but at the end it all comes together. The back is hilariously thin and flimsy, but it's just one piece. When it's assembled it's sturdy enough.

The appearance actually isn't bad. It is made of two pieces and you can see this pretty easily, but that's a minor flaw. My rating is ultimately connected to the price. I know I should probably review things independently of cost, but to me if this was going for 0, I wouldn't recommend it. For I almost considered giving this 5 stars, but I think considering the cost, appearance, and utility together I'd have to go with 4 stars. Definitely a good buy.

This is a great bookshelf, but you have to follow the instructions carefully. I almost assembled it backward. Thankfully, I was cautious while assembling it together.

I highly recommend this product. Once you adorn it with skulls, pentagrams, wiccan supplies and books, it becomes a nice little wiccan shelf... very gothic!

Don't Pay Over For This
I found this in Walmart on rollback for and it was originally . The instructions are not very clear and you are able to easily make mistakes trying to build it. When I was finally finished building it correctly, I found out why there is strap screwed to the top back of the shelf. This shelf is not stable. If you put this shelf in a high traffic areas, I recommend you screw the strap to the wall as instructed. It is not worth more than and it is not solid wood.
But on a positive note, it does organize all the stuff I had laying around my room. The bookshelf has a nice natural look that suits anywhere. I used the deep adjustable shelves to display my doll collection and the rest holds my manga collection.

Overpriced
I don't know why anyone would buy this bookcase for this price. You can buy it from Walmart for . It's not worth this much, it's made out of mdf, not wood. I have one I purchased about 7 years ago for 19, that I'm looking at right now. It's good for the value, if you pay the right price. I was looking to purchase a few for the classroom I'm moving to this fall, as it has no storage, but I would not pay this price. Last week, this same bookcase was on sale on this website for 10.84, but when you clicked to order, shipping costs were over 0. Something is really messed up with this company. I wouldn't trust them.

Needs more attention to packaging
This is made of particle board & laminate--that much I knew. I wasn't expecting a fine piece of furniture, but what I WAS expecting was that it would be packaged well enough to survive shipping. It wasn't. It arrived with one bad "crunch" in the upper right corner and a couple other minor crunches. Because we're using it in a fairly utilitarian spot, looks don't matter too much and, functionally, it still works. It isn't worth the hassle of contacting customer service to resolve this. The fact that it was damaged in more than one place on the box, resulting in several different injuries to the item, means that their packaging is NO WHERE NEAR as sturdy as it needs to be.

Damage aside, the piece is functional and works well as a mail-sorting station by our back door. It is laminate & particle board and some of the pieces COULD meet up a little bit better. The fiberboard (brown in the photo) shelves should be a little more substantial--when built as-shown, they aren't rigid enough to stand up to much use. They come with a black plastic edgeband that you add on during assembly that stiffens it some, but it's still pretty flimsy. I'm afraid that, with much use, it will not hold up--I forsee having to replace them with something like plexiglass in the future.

Still, for the price, I'd probably buy it again....though if I were putting it somewhere more visible in my home, I would send the unit back if they couldn't replace the broken pieces.

It was worth it if just the fun of putting it together
Assembly was very fast, though it had a lot of parts and easily could have been too challenging. All parts had labels which matched what was in the instructions....sooo ez to follow. It's a fine product too. There's not much to say about "how" to use it, if you see the picture and still don't know how you'd use it, you've got bigger problems than making a purchasing decision.
What I will say is it has a nice balance of spacing-utility types and I think you have some options for personal preferences, but I just built what they suggested.

You don't need to be a carpenter but common sense helps.
I needed something on my desk to house the assorted "things" that accumulated. Beware that this comes unassembled. I was a bit surprised but it is not hard to put together. I did a couple pieces backwards and the finished side is not visible. That's not their fault but it is a bit tricky if you're not in the habit of constructing things.
Nice piece tho. It is a bit bigger than I measured. I'm keeping it. Good if you have a really big desk. This is not a small item.

Just ok
This item is FAR to heavy and bulky for it's task. It is reasonably well made, but you have to build it yourself (not difficult). The particle board it probably twice the thickness it should be, and weighs a ton. The design is innovative at least, though it is not especially attractive.

Stylish Shelf, easy to assemble!
The shelf is very good for what I needed it for, it keeps my books for work easy to access and I can get to anything quickly. It also has places I can set a photo or a decorative statue, whatever! It give my desk style and functionality, while keeping it organized.

The only thing that may not be desirable about this product is that you will have to assemble it yourself. Fortunately, I like putting things together, but if I did not, I might be aggrivated about that... Overall, it was an easy installation; the shelf is held firmly together by these glue dowels that you put in water to activate. I had never used these before, but they were easier to use than screws & washers, and invisable too!

desktop organizer is a hit
This organizer can be used in 3 different ways, and all give you both vertical and horizontal space. Exactly what I wanted.

I bought this to help my husband better organize his mail and papers. It didn't work, but it still looks great on his desk, stuffed to the gills with un-filed paperwork. You can turn it in several different directions: Upright, flat, or sideways.
